My Spunky Cat
The My Spunky Cat website is your one stop resource for everything having to do with cats, especially cats suffering from diabetes or arthritis. From tips for handling these two horrible illnesses to actual treatments, we provide everything you need. We will also be covering topics on virtually everything we have experienced with our cats over the years.
Our website was inspired by our own cat named Spunky. Spunky not only suffered from diabetes, but also arthritis. She passed after a healthy life of 16 years, but the final moments of her life would not have been the same without the right arthritis treatment and diabetes treatment for cats.
We want to share with you our story and help you with your pets. No cat or dog should ever have to suffer the pain of arthritis or the symptoms associated with diabetes. You, as the owner, have the ability to help your pet live a better, more fulfilling life.
Spunky’s Story
Our cat Spunky was the inspiration for this site and for helping other cat and dog owners. If you’re a pet owner, you may one day have a cat or dog suffering from arthritis or diabetes. It is horrible to watch your beloved pets suffer and we want to help you keep the pain to a minimum.
What happened to Spunky is likely to happen to most cats and dogs as they get older. That doesn’t mean there is nothing you can do about it. You can help your pet deal with these conditions and live a happy and healthy life with proper treatment. To learn more about our experience with these conditions, you can read the full Spunky Story here.
Dealing with Diabetes in Cats
Diabetes is a horrible disease and your cat or dog may be suffering from it. If they are, it may be causing increased thirst, nausea, a change in their appetite, constipation, increased urination, join pain, irritability, fatigue and many other symptoms. When a cat or dog suffers from diabetes, they are not a happy, playful animal anymore. They become a shell of their former self and it can become very depressing to watch.
One of the main signs of diabetes in pets is when they start drinking more water than normal. When a cat drinks a lot of water, you have to do something about it. They may be suffering from diabetes and you need to know the truth before you just assume it’s something minor.
Of course, diabetes comes with many other symptoms and you certainly don’t want to just jump to conclusions. However, if your cat is drinking a lot of water, you may want to start watching for other potential symptoms of feline diabetes.
If you do think your cat has diabetes, we recommend Dia-ionX. You can find out more about Dia-ionX by reading our full review here.
Managing the Pain of a Cat with Arthritis
Arthritis is most often found in older cats over the age of 10. However, it can be found in even the youngest cat, in rare cases. The pain a cat suffers from dealing with arthritis may turn them into a lazy cat with no zest for life.
Managing the pain of arthritis usually consists of some type of anti-inflammatory drug and special exercises. You have to dedicate hours of your time to making your cat uncomfortable, while pumping them full of drugs with all kinds of harmful side effects. Not only will your cat only be a shell of its former self, but it may also suffer from liver or kidney damage from the pain killers.
Cats and dogs suffering from arthritis can live many pain-free years with the right treatment. You don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars on prescription pain killers. Instead, we recommend the Arthro-ionX treatment for arthritis in cats and dogs. This all-natural and safe treatments helps to relieve the pain and stiffness caused by arthritis. Within just one week your pet may be back to their normal self.

Cool Cat Houses
Even if your cat cannot be an inside pet for whatever reason, you can still provide a home that it can make it’s own. With a little creativity and effort, it’s not that difficult to make your own cat house, and it can be a fun project to do as well.
A cat house is a great way to provide a safe place for you pet. We believe every animal deserves a safe place it can go to stay warm in the winter, and a place to be able to rest and feel safe any time of the year.
If your cat is able to be an inside cat, then there are also some pretty cool things you can do to customize an area of your home that will be very beneficial to your cat(s).
